Four bronze weights in the shape of a ‘Toe’, a creature which looks like one of the stone lions which guard the entrances to temples throughout Burma, but in fact is not. The toe is a fabulous animal which has the face of a lion, horns, and the hooves and tail of a horse. These four date from the late 18th to the early 19th century. Three are standing on an octagonal base and the smallest one has a square base. The weights are in good condition with no damage to the extremities and they have a nice patina. They weigh 16, 26, 82, and 163 grams. Heights 2, 2.5, 4 and 5 cm.
